Wild, furry, and full of laughter, Charivari plunges into the untamed energy of Charles Fréger’s world. Through his ongoing series “Wilder Mann”, Fréger captures Europe’s ritualistic masks and mythical figures creatures that blur the line between power, fear, and humor. The exhibition celebrates laughter as a primal, liberating force. One that connects, disarms, and reminds us of our shared humanity. It’s a vibrant journey through carnivals, traditions, and ancient rituals, where communities come together to drive away evil spirits and the cold of winter, revealing the beauty and absurdity of what it means to be human.
The poster design translates this raw energy into visuals: Fréger’s striking portraits are paired with bold, playful typography and vivid neon contrasts, a mix of control and chaos. The result radiates joy, rhythm, and a touch of wildness, a visual echo of the laughter at the heart of Charivari.
